Why not enchant your guests with a fire show unlike any you may have seen before. We use storytelling and flow arts to bring to life fantasy and folklore with our original performances.
WORKSHOPS
As well as our twilight shows, we can also offer daytime workshops too that explore both the flow art skills we use and the Shamanic philosophy behind our performances.
Basic Fire Skills Workshop

During this 6hr one day intensive workshop we will show you how to safely dip, light, and dowse your fire props and create a safe performance space for you and your audience.
You will also learn the techniques for contact skills such as body burns and traces, and of course - fire eating! We also factor in some flow time for you to get comfortable with some of the more popular fire props and teach some basic flow moves.
If you are ready to level up your performance, spice up your choreography, or even if you've always wanted to just 'have a go' - this is the perfect entry level workshop to Fire Performance.

DRAKONICA
Bringing folklore and fantasy to life through performance, flow arts and FIRE!
With storytelling at its core, DRAKONICA weave their fire show from tales of myth and magic, combining flow arts, dance, fight skills, theatre craft and more in their character driven performances.
In addition to the theatrical showcase, there is a deeper and more spiritual motivation behind working with fire that goes beyond the thrill of flow arts and the drama of mythology.
Esme Knight is an experienced Shaman, who is particularly interested in our sacred connection to fire and its historical and cultural significance throughout the ages up to the modern day. Through storytelling, dance, drums, trance and ritual; Esme's workshops, study programs and coaching focus on developing that connection and building a relationship with the creative and spiritual fire within.

DRAKONICA are available for festival and event bookings for the 2026/27 season - let us bring our unique story driven fire show to your guests!
As well as an after dark fire show, we can offer workshops during the day that give your guests the opportunity to handle fire in a safe controlled environment with our trained fire performers, as well as more spiritual workshops exploring the shamanic practises of drumming and trance-dance with Dragon Lady herself, Esme Knight.

Specialising in fire-fans, Nikki hails from a dance background with over 10 years experience. She is the queen of flow arts. She is utterly mesmerising!
SAFETY & EXPERIENCE
You can be assured that all DRAKONICA performers and crew are fully trained in fire safety and management. We have safety procedures in place as standard for every show that ensures both event/venue and public safety. If these criteria are unable to be met, the show will not go ahead. We are able to supply a copy of our risk assessment and insurance policy for every event booking.
FIRESHOW:
Once we receive your booking enquiry we'll get in touch to discuss your venue and expectations. There are certain safety criteria that need to be met in order for us to confirm any booking, such as the size of the performance space and crowd control, for example. From there we will decide a program that suits your event and quote you a fee.

PUBLIC WORKSHOPS:
Artistic Director, Esme Knight added fire performance to her reportoire in 2014 as a way to connect further with the sacred nature of fire and deepen the shamanic experience of her workshops. This training allows her and her crew to safely facilitate workshop attendees to handle and connect with the fire as part of their experience.
Esme is a fully insured performer and instructor with a team of talented and dedicated flow artists and dancers all committed to delivering a first class, entertaining, and above all SAFE experience.
